Historical story of place: He is A'meer Ibn Amer Ibn Hemedan Al-Koofi, known as A'meer Almo'allem.  A'meer was always known for his love of Ahl Al bayt in Kufa.  In fact, when this reached the ruler of Kufa (Obaid Illah Ibn Yazed (may Allah curse him), he was thrown in prison.  There, he met Al-Mokhtar Al-Theqefi and they stayed friends until the day they were released.  It was then that Mokhtar committed his famous revolt against the tyrant family Bani Omayyeh and was killed.  A'meer fled Koofeh and chose Bahrain to settle in because it was an island and its people were very kind and welcoming.  He taught their children Quran until the day he died.  He was buried in the same place where he had chosen to live, Sitra.
